While I have Hungarian roots, I have always considered myself to be a global citizen, since I was born in Hungary, lived in Spain for a few years as a young child, but grew up in Germany.

In May 2015, I graduated with the highest distinction from The University of the South. Although it seems impossible to condense all the beautiful things that have happened to me during my time in Sewanee as a Klein Scholar into one page, I will make an attempt:

I majored in Economics with a minor in Business and also became a Carey Fellow, which is Sewanee's excellent Business Honors program. I was also fortunate enough to become a member of the academic honor societies Omicron Delta Kappa and Phi Beta Kappa. Furthermore, I was intensively involved in Student Activities, the Business Society and various activities related to dancing.

I have also spent a considerable amount of time in New York City, where I completed two truly valuable internships. In my freshman year, I absolved a 3-month long marketing internship in the fashion industry at a custom jewelry company and two years later a 6-month long internship as a financial analyst in investment banking as part of the Carey program. Although they did not turn out to be industries I would like to work in, they gave me the opportunity to discover my strengths, weaknesses and interests, while giving the chance to reinvent myself. I also felt blessed to participate in a summer business program at UC Berkeley in California in the third year of my undergraduate career.

Having been raised bilingually, I already developed a fascination with languages as a young child. In Sewanee, I was able to hone my foreign language skills in addition to acquiring new ones. Overall, I have studied eight different languages. Among those, I learned Spanish, French, Italian and Mandarin in Sewanee.

The Liberal Arts education I received from The University of the South not only enabled me to unlock my potential but also allowed me to discover talents and affinities I did not know I had. I am extremely grateful for Sewanee having laid out substantial stepping stones to reach my ultimate career goal.

After graduation I returned to Europe, where my heart belongs, rich in precious experiences, newly won skills and fond memories. My life-long obsession with Italian and my inexplicable draw to everything Italian made me pack my suitcase (again), gather all my courage and move to the beautiful historical city of Rome. I arrived without any plans but, within a week, I found employment by capitalizing on the skills I attained in the past four years. Currently, I am an International Admissions Counselor at the American John Cabot University in Rome. I am able to make a living by following one of my most ardent passions, which is traveling. Just this fall, I will be traveling to more than ten countries in Eurasia in order to recruit new students and to represent the university.

While enjoying the "Dolce Vita" here in the Eternal City, I also give German language lessons and work on my book of poetry when I find some spare time. Being surrounded by ancient beauty and perfection, I certainly do not lack inspiration for anything that I plan to pursue in the future, nor do I lack the abilities and skills, since Sewanee provided me with all the necessary tools.
